Paleo: a GREAT teacher
So, I do not generally agree with a long-term paleo diet. BUT, deciding to stick to it without fail for three weeks is one of the best decisions I’ve made this fall, maybe even this year. In September, I tried watching my diet for a few weeks, but struggled immensely. Now, I’ve been tracking what I eat (fatsecret.com) for a full week, without feeling burdened by it at all! I’m no...
Almost worked off Turkeyday: 146.7 (home scale,...
So today was less useless… UseFUL would be going too far, but not a waste. Unfortunately didn’t get to CrossFit. Was ready to go at 4, but then Brad had recently eaten so he wanted to wait until 5:30. By the time 5:15 rolled around, I had gotten myself into a funk and was too stressed and upset to make it. However, I did use that time to do an hour of yoga (Rodney Yee Power Yoga),...
Yesterday was... unproductive
Got a run in, didn’t go negative on my goal points despite forgetting at breakfast about no dairy/sugar. BUT, didn’t get much of anything else done at all. At all at all. Today I will make it to CrossFit, AND get some cleaning and studying points. Also, fell off the no TV bandwagon, but starting that up again as well.

Whoo! Over THAT hump! Now, to sleep for 12 hours and digest… Ran the first annual Turkey Trot this morning with Shannon and Otter. Finished in 31:45 or something like that.
Every journey begins with a single step
Didn’t get a calorie deficit today, but did record everything- both positives and negatives. Got a run in, did evening yoga (new DVDs I ordered from Amazon arrived today!), and cooked up a storm! Dark chocolate and toasted coconut cookies (Cooking Light), Elk Chili (Cooking Light), Roasted sweet potato and butternut squash salad (Good Housekeeping) and Orange-ginger-glazed turkey breasts...
Begin the beginning
Today we finished up the CrossFit Julia BLII Challenge. I didn’t get all my goal, I didn’t lose 5 pounds (I lost 3). BUT, it was still a huge success. Slowly but surely I’m gaining the confidence that I need to make the small accomplishments that will take me where I want to go. Now, why in the name of all that is holy am I putting this stuff on theinternet? Because it keeps...
